A Marvel-themed attraction on the Strip will shut within the new 12 months.
Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. at Treasure Island’s final day of operations will probably be Jan. 1, the ticket reserving website for the attraction reveals. An worker confirmed the closure Monday.
The interactive exhibit on the second flooring of the north Strip property has been open since 2016 as an expertise and retail house crammed with genuine props and costumes from the Marvel Avengers film franchise.
Representatives of Treasure Island and Victory Hill Exhibitions, the attraction producer that leases the house from the resort, didn’t reply to requests for remark.
Treasure Island proprietor Phil Ruffin, who purchased the 30-year-old resort from MGM Resorts Worldwide throughout the Nice Recession, modified a lot of the property’s retail and family-friendly leisure house within the early 2010s. It traded out the property’s well-known nightly, free pirate present on the Strip with retail house. Ruffin informed the Evaluation-Journal in November that his group was contemplating a modified return to the Strip-side pirate present. He mentioned his group is contemplating hologram or animatronic choices to offer one other pirate present.
“Since they’re gonna shut down (The Mirage) volcano, this will probably be one thing to see, and it’s free,” Ruffin mentioned in an interview.
